How to Use

+

Morning

  1. Wet your face with lukewarm water.
  2. Dispense a coin-sized amount into your palm.
  3. Add a little water and work into a light lather.
  4. Massage onto the face in gentle circular motions for 30–60 seconds, focusing on oily areas such as the forehead, nose and chin.
  5. Avoid the eye area.
  6. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  7. Pat dry with a clean towel — do not rub.
  8. Follow with a hydrating serum or moisturiser.
  9. Finish with sunscreen (SPF 30 or above).

Evening

Remove heavy makeup first, wet the face, massage the cleanser over the skin for about a minute, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Apply your hydrating or treatment products, then finish with a moisturiser.

How often to use it

Normal skin — once daily, or twice if well tolerated. Oily skin — morning and evening. Combination skin — once or twice daily depending on tolerance. Sensitive skin — start 2–3 times a week and build up gradually if comfortable.

Tips for best results

Massage gently and avoid scrubbing. Do not leave the cleanser on the skin for long periods, and avoid very hot water. Wear sunscreen daily. Consistency over several weeks generally gives the best cosmetic results.

Key Ingredients

+

Active ingredients

  • Mandelic Acid 2% — a gentle Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds that exfoliates the skin's surface, helps unclog pores, improves texture, supports a brighter complexion and helps reduce the appearance of post-acne marks.
  • Vitamin E — a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental stressors while supporting the skin barrier and maintaining hydration.

Full ingredient list

Aqua (Water), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Acrylates Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 60, Mandelic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, DMDM Hydantoin.

Works Well With

+

Morning pairings

Hyaluronic Acid Serum, Niacinamide Serum (5–10%), Ceramide Moisturiser, Vitamin E Moisturiser, Sunscreen SPF 30–50.

Evening pairings

Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide Cream, Peptide Serum, Panthenol Moisturiser, Centella Asiatica Serum.

Use with caution

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) — tolerated by many, but introduce gradually if using in the same routine. Retinol — may increase irritation when combined; consider alternate evenings if sensitivity develops. Benzoyl Peroxide — can be drying for some users. Azelaic Acid — often compatible but may irritate sensitive skin.

Avoid combining if your skin becomes irritated

High-strength glycolic acid products, lactic acid exfoliants, salicylic acid cleansers alongside multiple leave-on exfoliants, strong exfoliating scrubs and chemical peels.

Ideal For

+

Skin types

Oily, combination, normal, acne-prone and mildly sensitive skin (with gradual introduction).

Skin concerns

Clogged pores, excess oil, dull complexion, uneven skin texture, mild acne, post-acne marks and rough skin.

Recommended age

13–17 years — for oily or acne-prone skin, with adult guidance if needed. 18–60+ years — suitable for most adults seeking gentle exfoliation.

Who should avoid it

Anyone allergic to mandelic acid or a listed ingredient, or with severely compromised, broken or infected skin. Those with active eczema or dermatitis on the face should seek advice first. People with severe rosacea or very reactive skin may need medical guidance before using exfoliating acids. Discontinue and seek advice if significant irritation persists.

Safety & Storage

+

Caution

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, eyelids, lips and mucous membranes — rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs. Perform a patch test before first use, especially on sensitive skin. Mild tingling may occur during initial use. Discontinue if persistent redness, burning, swelling or severe irritation develops. Do not apply to broken, sunburned, inflamed or infected skin. Because AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the day. Keep out of reach of children.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

A rinse-off cleanser containing 2% mandelic acid has minimal contact time and generally low systemic absorption, and many healthcare professionals consider low-strength AHA cleansers low risk during pregnancy when used as directed. Even so, consult your obstetrician or healthcare provider before introducing any new skincare product. Generally considered compatible while breastfeeding — avoid applying to the nipple or breast area before nursing.

Drug interactions

Use caution alongside prescription retinoids (tretinoin, adapalene, tazarotene), topical antibiotics combined with exfoliating therapies, high-strength benzoyl peroxide and prescription chemical exfoliants. If you are under dermatological treatment, ask your provider whether your routine needs adjusting.

Storage & shelf life

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep tightly closed after each use and keep away from moisture when not in use. Do not freeze. Shelf life 24 months from manufacture when unopened; use within 12 months of opening.

FAQ

+

How long will one bottle last?

A 120 mL bottle lasts roughly 3–4 months with once-daily use, or about 2 months used twice daily. Heavy use is nearer 30–40 days.

Will it sting?

Mild tingling can occur during initial use and normally settles. Stop using it if persistent redness, burning or swelling develops.

Can I use it every day?

Yes for most skin types. Oily skin can use it morning and evening; sensitive skin should start 2–3 times a week and build up gradually.

Is it strong enough to replace my exfoliant?

It is a gentle 2% rinse-off exfoliating cleanser, which makes it a good starting point. Because contact time is short, it is milder than a leave-on acid.

Do I need sunscreen with it?

Yes — AHAs increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, so wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning.
